12th BRICS Summit: PM Modi and Xi Jinping to be face to face on November 17

Efforts are on to reduce tensions between India and China. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping may meet face to face at the BRICS meeting on 17 November. PM Modi will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping through video conferencing during the BRICS conference on 17 November.

The 12th BRICS Summit will be held on 17 November through video conferencing. The Embassy of the Russian Federation in India gave this information. The theme of the meeting of the leaders of BRICS countries is ‘BRICS Partnership for Global Sustainability, Shared Security and New Development’.

The BRICS Summit 2020 is the well-planned 12th BRICS Summit, which will be held as a meeting of the heads of the governments of five countries Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The actual date of this meeting was held in St. Petersburg between 21 and 23 July 2020, but was postponed due to the Corona epidemic.

Explain that there has been a deadlock between India and China in the eastern region of Ladakh for five months. There is significant tension in their relationship. The two sides have held several rounds of diplomatic and military talks to resolve the dispute. But there was no breakthrough in removing the deadlock.

There is another round of talks between the military officers of the two countries on October 12, whose agenda is to set out a particular outline of the withdrawal of troops from the disputed points.

To overcome any challenge, India has already deployed thousands of soldiers and military equipment in this high altitude region. The Indian Air Force has also already deployed its frontline combat aircraft such as the Sukhoi 30 MKI, Jaguar and Mirage 2000 in eastern Ladakh and other places along the Line of Actual Control.

Recently five Rafale fighter aircraft, which were inducted into the IAF major, are also regularly flying in East Ladakh. The Air Force is also undertaking combat aerial patrols in the eastern Ladakh region at night, to send a message to China that it is ready to face any challenge in this mountainous region.
